This is a mod made for personal use but somehow I wanted to share it. Ill list the changes and install instructions here. Its very easy.
IMPORTANT:
This mod its made for newbies or amateurs who doesnt know how to mod their game, also add weapons, ammo and fast leveling so if you dont like the features listed on the changes DO NOT TRY IT. If you like it, you can upload where ever you want but please respect credits.

Extract the files inside OUT directory located in your documents called DeadIsland, so the DATA folder included within the RAR will be along with your folders called SETTINGS AND LOGS, example: C:Users\DocumentsDeadIslandout
Thats ALL. Run game and enjoy.

CHANGES FROM ORIGINAL GAME:
- Removed FOG distance. So youll be able to look farter (be aware can hit your FPS)
- Added GUNS (rifles, shotguns, pistols, ect) to ALL shops. They will spawn as normal weapons (from gold to white), based on your level and by luck.
- Added AMMO to all shops. (not always spawn, its based on luck, it is not MOD problem)
- 1 EXTRA SKILL POINT per level.
- Increased the chance to get orange/violet/blue/green weapons from boxes and from drops.
- Increased AMMO capacity.
- INCREASED DAMAGE TO ALL WEAPONS REMOVED ON VERSION 3.0 NOW NORMAL DAMAGE!!
- Increased EXPERIENCE gained from QUESTS (reduced exp gained on version 3.0)
- Increased MONEY drops. (left intact on version 3.0 becouse stores sell at high prices)
- Increased meele weapon durability for all meele weapons.
- Increased health gained from food, medpacks, etc.
- Added 3 extra NPC to get your items stored on ACT 1 and ACT 2.
- You dont lose money when die.
- Use mouse scroll UP and youll change weapons. (only UP its working)
- Disabled SSAO wich its almost unnoticiable and increment FPS.
- Improved keyboard and mouse sensivity. Ironsights too sensitive -> fixed on version 3.0
- NO MORE AUTO EQUIP MED PACKS AND ALCOHOL.
- LESS AUTOAIM with guns. (not enterily removed but improved)
- Incremented inventory size.
- Always show HUD (Health, stamina, etc)
- EXTRA BAR (snack) gives temporally EXTRA HP and can be taken to inventory and use like a medkit.
At the beggining you will lose your personal key settings, but you can change them and theyll save normal.
ALSO I didnt removed BLOOM, BLUR or changed any video settings or the FOV. Not all people like those changes so I leave them out.
Yes, those arent exactly amazing changes but this will make the game a little different from what was intended from. I recommend to finish the game first for at least one time and then try this mod as it could remove the fun of it. Also try at your own risk, Im not reponsable if this break your installation or your pc.
UNINSTALL:
As easy as removing the DATA folder that was included in the RAR from ur install directory.
NOTES:
- THIS WILL NOT MESS YOUR SAVE GAMES.
- YOU CAN USE THIS IF PLAYING ONLINE, BUT I DONT KNOW IF THE EFFECTS WILL BE APPLIED TO THE OTHER CHARACTERS. BE AWARE VAC “COULD” BAN YOU SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO USE IT ONLINE, JUST WITH FRIENDS MAYBE.

Q – WHY REDUCED THE DAMAGE DONE?
A – By request. Too many users didnt like the ubber damage.
Q – Will you make additional UPDATES?
A – When able to add extra zombies or hordes, YES. Then, maybe, Ill increment damage again.
