Showing its success in leaps and bounds, Dead Island will now be made into a feature film by Lionsgate. Expect the Dead Island franchise to get alot bigger.
Announced by the Dead Island official facebook page, details of the movie are slowly leaking. The Sean Daniel Company from other films such as The Mummy, Tombstone, Dazed and Confused has been tasked with producing the Dead Island movie.
Lionsgate President Joe Drake said in a statement,
This is exactly the type of property we’re looking to adapt at Lionsgate – it’s sophisticated, edgy, and a true elevation of a genre that we know and love. It also has built in brand recognition around the world, and franchise potential.
Early plot rumors state that the Dead Island movie will revolve around family ties and a non-linear storyline.
