New details have been released for the sequel Dead island Riptide. prepare to start motor boating Zombies….
The Plot
The Plot has been revealed which keeps the 4 main characters from Dead Island 1 in the mix. While escaping, a monsoon hits the survivors and destroys their rescue vessel stranding them back on the island resort. Sound a bit boring being stranded back on the old island of Banoi? This time around the landscape takes a turn for the worse as the monsoon has ravished the island turning it into a wasteland.
New Character?
Big news is a 5th playable character will be hitting the island of Banoi to spice things up. We are thinking a brand new skillset will bring some new gameplay to Dead Island 2. To add to the gameplay guns will play a much bigger role in the sequel with weapons and c4 to make gameplay a touch more devastating.
The Dead Island arena concept may get more play time in Riptide also. Other planned features include the ability to port your old player over also. Expect a 2013 release.
